ACTUAL ASPECTS OF THE AGGLOMERATIONS RESEARCH IN RUSSIA

Abstract

Purpose. Identification of the most relevant theoretical, methodological and practical aspects of the agglomerations research in Russia. Methods. The practical part of the work is based on the methods of statistical and analytical comparative analysis. Results and practical significance. Author envisaged the most relevant aspects of the agglomerations research in Russia, namely systematization of terminological apparatus, improved approaches to the allocation of agglomerations and refinement typology, development of methods for analyzing the dynamics of agglomeration processes. Practical recommendations for assessing the dynamics of agglomeration processes. Scientific novelty. The scientific novelty of this work is to provide a balanced assessment of the author's version of Russian agglomerations.
