Purpose. Analysis of the processes of the activity of local self-government bodies in the provision of municipal services. Methods. The analysis is based on the use of the methodology of the process approach and the quality management of services. The main approach is the service life cycle model. Results. In this study, based on the provisions of the process approach, as well as quality management, reflected in Russian national standards, the main processes of local government activities related to the provision of municipal services are described in detail. Provision of municipal services is considered from the point of view of its life cycle, including the processes of design, resource provision, provision, quality control of the service. Each of the selected processes, in turn, is a fairly complex set of subprocesses of the activity of the local government. Scientific novelty. The scientific novelty consists in expanding theoretical ideas about the processes of local self-government bodies' activity in the provision of municipal services, as well as a comprehensive description of these processes.
